Myers Development Company selected Chandra Cerrito / Art Advisors to create a high caliber art collection at Centennial Towers, a new Class A office building in South San Francisco. The goal was to present museum-quality artworks that would appeal to potential tenants in the technology/biotechnology industry and engage the broader community.

CC/AA worked with the developer’s founder, an avid art collector, to commission artworks specifically for the building. Large-scale artworks by internationally recognized artists complement the stunning architecture by renowned firm Skidmore, Owings and Merrill.

Monumental works by preeminent American abstract painters Charles Arnoldi, Ed Moses, and James Hayward add bold statements of color, gesture, and texture to the grand contemporary lobby.

Seen through the building’s exterior glass curtain wall, a dynamic LED installation by Austrian artist Erwin Redl draws visitors in from outside, through the lobby, to the community theater, whose entrance is just past the artwork. During theater events, the installation creates a lively and welcoming gathering space.
