Worked with developer, Westin designer and architect, to select, commission and install all guest room and public space artwork. Met Client's request for artwork that fits within Westin design standards and reflects the natural surroundings of Napa's wine-growing region without literal or typical references to wine country. The art program incorporates artists local to Napa and the Bay Area including Seyed Alavi, Dona Bonick, Catherine Courtenaye, Lewis deSoto, Don and Era Farnsworth, Stephen Galloway, Keira Kotler and Jenn Shifflet, as well as others like Christopher Martin. The collection installed throughout the reception, lobby, guest rooms, corridors and conference rooms features a range of media including custom local photography, commissioned paintings, artist-made tapestries, original works on paper and limited edition prints. Featured prominently in the reception area is Stephen Galloway's first permanent sculptural commission, a custom screen made of natural materials collected from the area and suspended in resin.
